The Last School
The last school is an archival research and documentation about the de-population that has affected the village of Selva di Progno (VR) in the 50s and 70s.
This research has been carried on by the children in historical, statistical, anthropological and sociological terms. The laboratory approaches a social inquiry model whose childhood eyes can provide many insights. The goal is not just to say what is better and what is worse, but to acquire the tools necessary to critically analyze historical events that often overwhelm people without giving them the right time to think about what is happening. At the end of the workshop it will be an exhibition in the school.
A peculiar element was the involvement of the local library, strongly supported by teachers. The library provided data to support the conduct of activities. Also important was the extension of the proposal to many other schools in the area.
