The arrival of the Vlora in the harbour of Bari on August 8th, 1991 marks the beginning of a new sad story for our country. Erri De Luca's voice leads us through an eight minutes journey made out of images and stories taken from the ZaLab documentaries, from the Archive of Migrant Memories as well as from some Guard Coast footages. Read more http://www.zalab.org/progetti-it/56 Eight years after the opening of the Museo Narrante dell’Emigrazione (Narrating Museum of Emigration), the opening of a new section dedicated to immigration is a moral obligation in a region such as Calabria that, from being a land of emigration, has become the destination of many migrants. The Museum of Sila allows us to go through the sad chapters of this piece of history from within a container. All this, in order to remember the tragic journeys, through the sea and the desert, of many Twenty-first Century migrants, often escaping from dramatic situations in their country of origin.
