Vojage into the universe of Italian shanty houses
After a month from the online release of the ZaBit “The Abysses of San Berillo”, the webpage “Italian Slum” has been filled with new documents, links, and audio-interviews. All this has been collected and summarized in the info-graphic “Italian Slum”, a multimedia and interactive journey in the complex world of slums in Italy.
In the world one person out of six lives in a shag. In Italy it is not known how many they are, and yet they exist in a generalized lack of interest. With the release of the ZaBit “The Abysses of San Berillo”, the project “Italian Slum” was launched, a journey in the universe of slums in Italy, enriched in time by documents, links and audio-interviews. All the collected material has been summarized in a single multimedia and interactive info-graphic.

San Berillo Abysses
In the city centre of Catania, among banks and shops, there are three huge abysses thirty meters deep and more than a hundred wide.
