Ibi and her exhibition in Palermo
Ibi‘s exhibition has arrived in Palermo, Sicily.
After Caserta and Pisa, we celebrate Ibi’s journey in Sicily and the preview of the movie about her with Emma Dante‘s words:
“Ibi touched me deeply. I think that the image of the napkin on the street pavement is a big metaphor of the tragedy that we live nowadays. Her stubborness in seeding and cropping fruits hurts me, made me feel powerless. Everything is so melancholic, but her face has a kind of toughness that I can’t forget, a sweet toughness, I can find in her cheerfulness something deeply sad.”
Emma Dante
From the 17th December the exhibition of Ibitocho Sehounbiatou‘s self-portraits and photos is available in Palermo – Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Sede Sicilia, in collaboration with SudTitles Palermo.
